Summary: Perfect location for first-time visiters of PEI. Loved having the daily breakfast and weeknight happy hours included. Being able to park after day trips but walk to dinners was ideal for us. Would recommend to anyone visiting the island.

Summary: Nice historic hotel. The room was very nicely appointed. The bed was a bit lumpy because of the mattress topper. My biggest complaint was the lack of any kind of typical hotel services like help with luggage, and ice delivery to the room that you would expect at a 5 star hotel. We also experienced poor front desk service. From the moment we entered the lobby we felt unwelcomed. The attitude of the front desk person was terrible. I had expected better from such a beautiful property but unfortunately this really impacted our enjoyment.

Summary: What a lovely place. The rooms are large and well appointed. Mine had a separate bedroom upstairs from a sitting room. The location is great. All the restaurants and sights to see right out the door. Great place at a fair price. Great breakfast too!!!!

Summary: The location is excellent, but if you have celiac disease be warned. They had a table at their breakfast labeled gluten-free table. The cookie on that table when I ate it, I knew it could not possibly be gluten-free, but I ate it anyway and it completely ruined my vacation. If you have celiac, you know what I mean. I was sick to the point of almost having to go to the hospital.

Summary: Perfect location and loved our stay. Only negatives were an extremely disturbing air conditioner which woke us frequently and an eco policy that needs tweaking. I didn’t need a full bedsheet change but it would have been nice to have the trash emptied.

Summary: Staff were friendly, but in short supply. Great location, and property. Parking was difficult. Gluten free station was appreciated at breakfast, but otherwise the offerings were perplexing. Older room was more rustic than luxurious.

Summary: The only drawback to an otherwise brilliant stay was the last of the requested extra towels on the second day of our stay. For such an elegant and well run hotel this was a bit surprising and somewhat disappointing.

Summary: I had an incredible experience staying at The Great George. From the moment I arrived to the day I checked out, everything was simply perfect. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable — a real haven to relax in after a long day. The facilities were top-notch, and it’s clear that the hotel is maintained with a lot of care and attention to detail. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable hotel experience. Truly a five-star stay in every way! A special thank you to the staff member who kindly packed me a breakfast to go when I had to leave early for a morning golf round — such a thoughtful touch that really made a difference.
